Managing your apps
Add, import, refresh and remove tracked apps in ASO Atlas. Change an app's country, sync metadata and know exactly what each action does.
Everything app-related starts on the Apps page: adding apps, importing your own published apps in bulk, and jumping into each app's detail page. This is the reference for what every app-level action does, including the ones with side effects worth knowing about.
Adding an app
On the Apps page, type an app's name into the search box, or paste its full App Store link. Pick the storefront (country) you want to track it in, then click Track on the right result. Any app on the App Store works: yours, a competitor's, or one you are just curious about.
The moment an app is added, ASO Atlas pulls its public listing (title, description, screenshots, ratings, reviews) and suggests starter keywords. The five-minute walkthrough of that flow is in the quick start.
Importing your own apps in bulk
If you publish your own apps, you do not have to add them one by one. Connect your App Store Connect account under Settings → Integrations (you paste an Issuer ID, a Key ID and an API key file, once), and an Import all button appears on the Apps page.
Import brings in every app from your account that is not tracked yet, and starts a data sync for each so numbers land fast. Two details worth knowing:
- Region-locked apps are found automatically. If an app is not sold in your chosen storefront, the import checks other major storefronts and tracks the app in the country where it actually lives.
- Unreleased or removed apps are skipped. An app that exists in App Store Connect but has no public listing cannot be tracked, so it will not count toward the import.
Apps that belong to your connected account get a Yours badge on the Apps page, so you can tell your own apps from the competitors you track.
Changing an app's country
Each app is tracked in exactly one storefront at a time. To switch, use the country selector next to the app's name on its page.

Be aware of what a switch does:
- All the app's tracked keywords move to the new storefront, and their ranks are re-checked there right away.
- The old ranking history is deleted. Positions from the previous storefront say nothing about the new one, so the charts start fresh rather than mixing two markets.
- Popularity and difficulty are per-country, so those numbers reload for the new storefront too.
- If the app is not available in the storefront you picked, nothing changes and you will see an error instead.
To follow one app in several countries at once, track it as a separate entry per storefront. More on how storefronts behave in countries and storefronts.
Refreshing on demand
Everything refreshes automatically once a day: keyword ranks, listing metadata, ratings and reviews. When you do not want to wait (you just shipped a metadata update, say), hit Refresh on the app's page. It re-checks the rank of every tracked keyword and pulls the latest listing, ratings and reviews, usually within a minute.
Metadata sync and change markers
Every sync also compares the app's listing against the last known version. When the title, version, price, icon, description or screenshots change, ASO Atlas records exactly what changed and when.
Those changes show up in two places: the metadata changes feed on the app page (covering your app and the competitors you watch), and as markers on the ranking history charts, so you can connect "we changed the subtitle here" with "and the rank moved there". You do not have to do anything to enable this; it happens on every automatic or manual refresh.
Removing an app
The trash button on the app's page (or on its card on the Apps page) stops tracking it after a confirmation. This permanently deletes the app's tracking data in your account: its tracked keywords, their ranking history, its competitor list and any connected App Store Connect metrics. There is no undo; re-adding the app later starts with a clean history.
Managing keywords
Adding and removing keywords happens on each app's page: type them comma-separated into the keyword box to add a whole batch, select rows to remove them. The basics are covered in the quick start, and how the daily checks and history work is in rank tracking.
